Company

The world is better for everyone when information is secure.

That is AgilePQ’s vision. Its mission, in its own words: “AgilePQ visibly secures IoT devices worldwide.” It builds SLiM, encryption for the devices too small for the security the rest of the internet uses, and licenses it to the manufacturers who make them.

01What AgilePQ is

Built to be built in.

AgilePQ builds SLiM: encryption small enough for the sensors, meters and controllers that cannot carry the security the rest of the internet uses. It licenses SLiM to device manufacturers, who build it in once and carry it into every market they sell to.

AgilePQ was incorporated in Delaware in 2014. In 2017 it raised capital privately from accredited investors. It announced SLiM in 2018, was a finalist in the US Defense Information Systems Agency’s Phase II cryptography evaluation in 2019, and acquired Centri, an IoT security company, in 2020.

The COVID-19 pandemic made the years that followed very hard for the company.

Now SLiM is being relaunched through device manufacturers: one integration per product line, carried into every market they sell to.

02Values

What AgilePQ stands for.

AgilePQ names six values. The line under each is what it asks of the work.

  1. Seamless Trust

Security that protects the people who rely on it without asking them to think about it.

  2. Disruptovate

Question what a small device is assumed unable to carry, then build what it can.

  3. Transparency

Say what was measured, who measured it and where every number comes from.

  4. Listen

Start from the customer’s device, network and deadline, not from the product.

  5. Integrity

Claim only what the record supports, and keep the record.

  6. Empower

Give engineers and operators the means to secure what they already run.

03The record

Since 2018. On the record.

Announcements, an evaluation, an acquisition and two granted patents. Each one is dated, and each has its source in the notes.
