Rob Burns currently serves as Director, Worldwide Enterprise Programs for the AppDynamics business unit of Cisco.
Previous to joining Cisco, Burns was the CEO of an early stage firm formed to utilize open data and build predictive analytics models based in Raleigh, NC. In addition, he has served in senior roles at a publicly traded venture capital firm, Harris & Harris Group as well as SVP at Lux Research, a firm that delivered research services to large multi-national corporations in the field of emerging physical sciences.
Burns was also selected as a 2011 Eisenhower Fellow where he traveled to China and Malaysia where he spent 6 weeks evaluating technology development and technology transfer policies. Since the 2011 Fellowship, Burns has spent significant time working on technology throughout ASEAN countries.
Currently residing in North Carolina, he holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from the University of Maryland and a Master of Business Administration in International Business degree from The George Washington University.
